In this workshop, you will learn the importance of perspective in painting buildings and street scenes. Jonelle will discuss perspective lines, composition, lighting and subject matter. You
will work through the different stages of completing a11X14 canvas painting. The canvas is provided by Jonelle.

Oil Paints Recommended:
Titanium White
Cadmium Yellow Light
Yellow Ochre
Cadmium Red Light
Alizarin Crimson
Sap Green
Ultramarine Blue
Cerulean Blue
Phthalo Green
Transparent Red Oxide (Very important Color)
Gamblin Portland Grey Deep
Paynes Grey
 
You will need to bring:
Brushes Recommended:
Flat Synthetic #10
Flat Synthetic #6
Flat Synthetic #4
Filbert Bristle #4
Filbert Bristle #2
Other Items you will need to bring:
4B Sketching Pencil
Small Sketch Pad
Gamblin Gamsol and glass or metal brush washer
Paint medium
Medium length metal palette knife
Portable easel (the studio has many available, but not sturdy)
Palette or Palette Paper

Spill-proof plastic bin to transport your brush washer and medium.
(*Gamsole and paint mediums are toxic and flammable, and this
will help prevent hazardous spills during transport.*)
Plastic Gloves
Apron
An extra 11X14 canvas toned gray (Optional for a re-start)
Lunch
 
Please note: This is an Oil Painting Class Only. No water based
oil paints or acrylic paints please. If you would like to try this
class, but don’t want to buy all the supplies, contact Jonelle and
she will discuss a price to USE her supplies for this class.

The cost for the all day class is $70 for IAA members and $85 for
non-members. The deadline to sign-up is April 13, 2026. No
refunds will be offered after this date. This is a sought-after
