In this still life workshop, you will arrange your own subject/display from various items brought by the instructor.  Jonelle will discuss composition, lighting and subject matter. You will work through the different stages of completing the painting.
 
She will provide teacups, saucers, teacup hangers and some other surprise items that will make up a beautiful 9X12 painting. If you have a teacup you treasure and want to paint it, bring it!  She will provide a 9x12 canvas, but you may want to bring an extra toned grey second one.
 
You will need to bring:

Titanium White
Cadmium Yellow Light
Yellow Ochre
Cadmium Red Light
Alizarin Crimson
Olive Green
Ultramarine Blue
Phthalo Blue
Phthalo Green
Transparent Red Oxide (Very important Color)
Gamblin Portland Grey Deep
Gamblin Radiant Blue
Paynes Grey

You will need to bring:

Flat Synthetic #6

Filbert Bristle #4
Filbert Bristle #2

Other Items you will need to bring:
4B Sketching Pencil
Small Sketch Pad
Gamblin Gamsol and glass or metal brush washer
Paint medium 
Medium length metal palette knife
Portable easel (the studio has many available that you can use, but they're not sturdy)
Palette or Palette Paper 
Paper Towels
Spill-proof plastic bin to transport your brush washer and medium.    (*Gamsole and paint mediums are toxic and flammable, and this will help prevent hazardous spills during transport.*)
Plastic Gloves
Apron
Lunch
 
Please note:  This is an Oil Painting Class Only.  No water based oil paints or acrylic paints please.  
 
The cost for the all day class is $60 for IAA members and $75 for non-members.  The deadline to sign-up is March 21.  No refunds will be offered after this date.  This is a sought-after instructor, so sign-up early to reserve your spot!
